Megan Mayumi
Austin- Based Actor & Writer
Megan was born in Naha, Japan. Her father is from Texas and her mother is Okinawan Japanese. At the age of 2, Megan moved to Oahu, Hawai’i. After her father retired from the Marine Corps, the family settled in Sugar Land, Texas.
Megan attended the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating with a degree in English she worked as a data analyst at Rooster Teeth Productions and HBO Max.
While writing screenplays, Megan became interested in acting as a way to better understand storytelling. She currently studies film acting with Julliard graduate and experienced film actor Mona Lee at BriteLites Studio, where she discovered a passion for performance.
